don't fall for solutions
Recently, I was watching a recommended YouTube video reviewing a designer pouch. The presenter had this beautiful, minimalistic room with bright white walls and color-popping pieces with very distinct silhouettes. It was absolutely gorgeous. That prompted me to look for similar rooms on Pinterest to plan my own space.
Intuition tells me this is a mistake. These solutions are not coming from a place of problem identification, but from a desire for something I don't have.
I am trying to shoehorn a project that didn't arise from necessity. It doesn't take the current state of the room as a basis - a starting point that would likely induce different, much more achievable aesthetic considerations.
