fairness

You are solely responsible for your actions. "Fairness" can only exist in somewhat arbitrary and manufactured contexts.

It's safe to say that this isn't "good," but I'd argue that it is more useful to avoid thinking in terms of it being wrong or bad, and instead accept it as simply being.

I think most people are afraid of letting their anxiety or anger dissipate because they believe these emotions are the only things preventing them from becoming complacent. My experience, weirdly enough, has proven the opposite. If a given action is truly the logical response to a situation, not being extremely angry or nervous actually makes it easier to execute because I can see things more clearly.

Of course, this is easier said than done. Life is tough and your mileage may vary. But I can say comfortably that, at least for me, I am certain of the value in doing things based on what I know, rather than how I feel.
